- Main Street Electrical Parade will once again light up Disneyland Park for a limited time as it returns for its 50th anniversary, April 22, 2022. This spectacular pageant of nighttime magic and imagination will be led by the iconic train and drum unit featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Goofy. The parade brings back many guest favorites including Elliot the Dragon and floats from "Alice in Wonderland," "Cinderella" and "Peter Pan." A new grand finale, featuring unique representations of beloved characters as animated dolls, brings to life moments from "Pinocchio," "Hercules," "Coco," "Moana," "Pocahontas," "Raya and the Last Dragon," "Aladdin," "Brave," "The Princess and the Frog," "Mulan," "Frozen," "The Jungle Book" and "Encanto." Originally debuted in 2015 for the Disneyland Resort 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration, “Disneyland Forever” fireworks spectacular shows just how magical Walt Disney’s original Magic Kingdom can be, in a street-to-sky celebration featuring sparkling pyrotechnics, immersive projections and surprising special effects that envelops guests in an enthralling, breathtaking journey. Audiences gathered on Main Street, U.S.A., in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, near “it’s a small world,” around the Rivers of America and within sight of the Matterhorn will each have a different, exciting and immersive experience of the show, as each location bursts to life with colors, projections and pyrotechnics. The multi-dimensional aspect of the show allows guests to discover new surprises depending on which location they choose. From April 22 to late spring, “Disneyland Forever” will perform Fridays through Sundays, and the “Mickey’s Mix Magic” projections-only show is scheduled Mondays through Thursdays. “Disneyland Forever” fireworks will then run nightly in the summer.

ANAHEIM, Calif. – “Fantasmic!,” Disney’s popular and longest-running nighttime spectacular, returns to the Rivers of America in Disneyland Park on May 28, 2022. This year, the beloved show is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
“Fantasmic!” is an emotional extravaganza of colorful Disney-animated story scenes, choreographed to an exciting musical score and highlighted by the 45-foot-tall, fire-breathing Maleficent dragon. The waters of the Rivers of America come alive as Mickey Mouse dreams he is the Sorcerer’s Apprentice and faces dastardly villains, using the power of his imagination to save the day. Along the way, fantastic events and images as seen in stories like “Fantasia,” “The Jungle Book,” “Pirates of the Caribbean” and more come to life with live performers, character appearances, enhanced special effects and pyrotechnics.
Fun facts about “Fantasmic!”
- Central to the magic of “Fantasmic!” are the three mist screens, each 60 feet wide by 30 feet tall, that help bring moments from beloved Disney stories to life on the Rivers of America.
- New scenes added in 2017 feature songs such as “Friend Like Me” and “A Whole New World” from the Walt Disney Animation Studios classic, “Aladdin.”
- A crew of ghost pirates man an eerie pirate ship that appears on the Rivers of These professionalstunt performers execute all the spectacular duels and falls.
- As part of the “Fantasmic!” story, the wicked Maleficent from “Sleeping Beauty” will rise to a height of 45 feet in 17 seconds, before transforming into the dragon.
- The dragon is a fully animated three-dimensional design that replicates the movements of the dragon in “Sleeping ” The dragon is 45 feet tall by 28 feet wide and weighs approximately 18,000 pounds.
- The dragon lights the Rivers of America on fire for 25 seconds.
- Water effects include 21 fountains and six “whale tails” in the scene when Monstro the whale chargesacross the Rivers of America.

These stories will be interpreted in thousands of sparkling lights and electro-synthe-magnetic musical sound, with unique representations of beloved characters as animated dolls. Guests along each side of the parade route will see different stylized scenes from classic and contemporary favorite stories such as “Encanto,” “The Jungle Book,” “Raya and the Last Dragon,” “Aladdin,” “Coco,” “Mulan,” “Brave,” “The Princess and the Frog” and more.
