Fall Favorite Celebrations at Disneyland Resort: Highlights for Disney Fans

ANAHEIM, Calif. – From the character photo collectors and long-time parkgoers to film fans, Disney enthusiasts of all ages can look forward to experiences with favorite characters and stories during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort (Sept. 2-Oct. 31, 2022) and at Plaza de la Familia in Disney California Adventure Park (Sept. 2-Nov. 2, 2022). Must-do experiences to check out include:

  1. Snap a photo at the giant Mickey Mouse pumpkin: Coordinate a Halloween- or fall-inspired outfit and strike a wicked pose at the iconic photo location at Disneyland Park. For a variety of shots, try taking photos in the daytime, nighttime and in front of both sides of the pumpkin.
  2. Devour mysterious, Halloween-inspired morsels: Guests can sink their teeth into treats creatively themed for the season, such as the vampire alien macaron and gingerbread zombie cookie. Plan ahead by mobile ordering food and beverages from select quick-service locations on the Disneyland app.*
  3. Encounter characters throughout both theme parks: Guests may spot favorite Disney characters festooned in brand-new Halloween looks or wicked Disney villains stirring up mischief. Keep an eye out for Mickey Mouse and some of his friends sporting new outfits at Disneyland, which feature cute, “homemade” details.
  4. Grab ghoulishly delightful merchandise: This year’s assortment includes fun collections highlighting Disney’s “Hocus Pocus,” the Haunted Mansion, Mickey Mouse and more.
  5. Visit the Halloween Tree at Disneyland Park: Paying tribute to author Ray Bradbury, a tall oak in Frontierland glows with orange lights and hangs hand-painted jack-o-lanterns from its branches. Fun fact: Bradbury met Walt Disney in 1964 and later helped develop attractions at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts.
  6. Sing along to favorite songs from Disney and Pixar’s “Coco”: “A Musical Celebration of Coco” at Plaza de la Familia in Disney California Adventure Park celebrates popular songs from the film, with live performances from talented dancers, singers and musicians.
